Trey + Abbey’s Mexico Destination Wedding | Mahekal Beach Resort Playa Del Carmen Mexico | Love is Wild Photography

Before they lived in New York City, I met Abbey through mutual friends, shooting content for a local hotel company. She was always so sweet and fun, and would help model for our photo shoots sometimes. I first met Trey in New York when I did their Engagement Session in Manhattan’s, Union Square. I loved him right away and had a blast with the two of them in the city! Since then, they’ve moved to Miami, and then, on to St. Petersburg Florida. Abbey had originally asked if I’d be willing to come to St. Pete for their wedding. I was stoked when she asked but, soon after, she told me there was a change of plans. They now decided to have their wedding in Mexico and asked if I’d be interested in traveling there instead. Of course, I happily agreed! It was an incredible weekend, spent with them, along with their close friends and family in Playa Del Carmen. The venue and hotel were located at Mahekal Beach Resort, and it was by far, the fanciest resort I’ve ever stayed at. The beachfront views of the Caribbean Sea and the many coconut trees were amazing. The tropical birds and adorable Coatimunga made this experience memorable, and a beautiful backdrop for their wedding. Most of all, the celebration of Abbey & Trey was epic! I had a great time getting to know their guests during the rehearsal party & the wedding. I’m grateful to have been a part of it all. It was and honor to capture all the fun ,love & festivities!
